Introduction

Parkfield is a traditional guest house providing bed and breakfast.

Ultilizing seven bedrooms in a Victorian semi-detached house built in 1890.

One bedroom is ground floor and all the rooms have en-suite facilities (shower basin and toilet).

None of the bedrooms are large enough to accommodate a wheelchair user.

Pre Arrival

Parkfied has no public telephone.

Wi fi is available.

Parkfield is 500m from the bus station.

Parkfield is 17miles from the nearest train station at Penrith.

Local Taxis will pick up and drop off at Penrith.

Parkfield is very close to the centre of Keswick (level walking for 500m).

Parkfield is close for all the shops, theatre, pubs and restaurants.

Electric wheelchairs may be hired from the Fiat garage in Keswick.

Arrival and Car Park Facilities

Parkfield has its own private car park which can take upto 8 cars in 2 rows.

On road parking is available from October 31st to Good Friday.

Guest can unload their cars at the front of the property upon arrival.

One shallow step must be negotiated to reach the front door.

Please note we do not accept pets or guide dogs.

Main Entrance and Reception

Parkfield has only one entrance for guest use, this is at the front of the house. One small step up separates this from the pavement.

Both entrances are standard doors.

Bells to attact attention are situated beside the front door and inner door.

The front door is shut at 11pm for security.

The inner door is shut all the time for security.

both doors can be opened with the key provided to the guest.

Guests are given keys to their rooms and the front and inner door.

Public Areas - General

Parkfield does not have lift.

All guest bedrooms are on self closing hinges, they can be locked by the guest.

Parkfield is carpeted throughout.

One bedroom is on the ground floor, all others are upstairs.

The Guest lounge is up one flight of stairs.

All stairs have one banister rail (they do not have banisters on both sides)

All televisions have remote controls and have teletext.

Public Areas

There are no public toilets at Parkfield.

Restaurant, Dining Room, Bar, lounges

The breakfast room is on the ground floor, chairs and tables can be altered to suit different seating plans.

Printed menus are on each table.

A variety of diets can be catered for including vegetarian, gluten free etc.

Parkfield has no bar and isn't licensed to provide alcohol.

Laundry

Parkfield has no public laundry.

Shop

Parkfield does not sell shop items.

Parkfield does not provide packed lunches.
